My name is Jacquelyn.

I am an experience curator –

I assign meaning to the ordinary.

Objects with history intrigue me.

I am endlessly curious about people and community.

I have always been careful about what I put into the world.

So careful that fear, silence and excuses have filled the space(s) where creation should be.

Mixed Media is to show the process –

The Journey of Showing Up

I'm giving myself 21 days to show up, consistently, for me. I've always prided myself on how I've shown up for others – I've been praised for my understanding and flexibility. And have teetered so close to crossing my own boundaries for others that you would swear there were none. But rarely have I shown up for myself in the same way.

I could list the reasons why in alphabetical order. I have over-analyzed them and found their source;

Instead, I have decided to just do it. I won't plan it, or come up with the best strategy for engagement, or over-think it so much that I'm left standing still.

I realize the perfection I aim for destroys creation. And the joy I receive from creating exceeds nearly everything else.
